In Sh!thead, I continue my exploration of humor and sarcasm with the recurring “poop” figure, now perched on the head of a stuffed sloth doll. This quirky character adds a playful absurdity to the piece, while the sloth’s oblivious stance—facing away from a bouquet of vibrant flowers—further enhances its “sh!thead” persona. Despite the beauty right behind it, the sloth remains indifferent to the world around it, a fitting symbol of ignorance or detachment that earns it the title.I chose contrasting colors to amplify this effect: the bright, saturated red background and vivid blue vase create a bold, energetic setting that contrasts with the softer, textured hues of the poop and sloth. This visual tension mirrors the sloth’s indifference to its surroundings, emphasizing the humor in its aloof nature. Through Sh!thead, I encourage viewers to laugh and reflect on the ways we sometimes overlook beauty and meaning, choosing instead to exist in our own little worlds, oblivious to what lies right behind us.
